§1 Registration
Registrations are only binding for the Ruhpolding Ski and Snowboard School once the agreed fees have been paid in full. In the case of advance bookings via the Internet, or ordering vouchers, upon receipt of the amount in our account.
§2 Course fees/prices
The course fees are to be paid in cash or by EC card when registering at the ski school office. In the case of advance bookings via the Internet or vouchers, the amount is to be transferred to our account. All prices quoted are subject to change. The calculation is made in Euro at the prices valid on the day.
§3 Cancellation of a registration by the ski school
The Ruhpolding Ski and Snowboard School has the right to cancel the registration before the start of the course. This may be due to over- or under-utilization of the selected performance class. If no alternative course or alternative day can be agreed with the participant, the fees will be refunded. The minimum number of participants per course is 5. If the number of participants is reduced, we reserve the right to change the course time or the course fee.
§4 Bookings
Bookings for group lessons can be made at the ski school office or online (2 days in advance). The fee will not be refunded in the event of a no-show. Private courses booked online can be charged retrospectively by us in the event of a no-show. There is no entitlement to courses in any form. The ski school alone decides on the allocation of courses and participation/non-participation.
§5 Bus trips/taxi transfers
Participants are responsible for any bus or cab transfers to other ski resorts.
§6 Lift costs
Lift costs are to be paid by participants of all ski courses and may vary depending on the progress of the course. The treadmills and rope lifts in the ski school's own beginners' area are included in the price. Information about lift ticket costs in advance is non-binding.
§7 Private lessons/individual lessons
Private lessons can only be booked in person at the ski school office or by telephone. Private lesson bookings are only binding once the fee has been credited to our account.
§8 Lesson time
The lesson time is as agreed in the registration form. If the lesson time changes, this will be announced in the registration form. The Ruhpolding Ski and Snowboard School is not liable for canceled lesson times caused by bus delays (e.g. traffic, road or weather conditions, bus defects, accidents).
§9 Interruption of lessons
Unfavorable weather and snow conditions, dangerous circumstances, etc. can lead to an interruption of lessons. The decision to interrupt lessons is the sole responsibility of the Ruhpolding Ski and Snowboard School. This decision must be complied with. The ski course time that has been interrupted will be made up as far as possible. A refund of the participant fees for the canceled part of the course can only be made if it is not possible to make up for it. Further claims are excluded. Issued vouchers are not redeemable in cash.
§10 Cancellation conditions
The customer has the option of canceling all booked courses free of charge up to 2 days before the start of the course without giving reasons. Fees already paid in advance will be refunded. In the event of cancellation less than 2 days in advance, 50% of the fee will be refunded. In the event of illness and presentation of a valid medical certificate, 100% of the course fee will be refunded.
§11 Signing out with the ski instructor
If a participant leaves his/her group during the lesson times, he/she or his/her parents or another person with parental authority must sign out with the relevant ski instructor. The Ruhpolding Ski and Snowboard School accepts no liability for unauthorized removal from the ski course. Furthermore, the Ruhpolding Ski and Snowboard School accepts no liability if a participant misses the bus ride home due to removal or failure to deregister.
§12 Exclusion from the course
In the event of complaints from other course participants, parents or ski instructors about the inappropriate behavior of a course participant during the course, the Ruhpolding Ski and Snowboard School may exclude the course participant concerned from further participation in the course. In this case, the right to a refund of pro rata fees shall lapse.
§13 Participants/Age
Participants from 4 years (ski course) and 8 years (snowboard course) can be registered at the ski school. A prerequisite for all age groups is a good physical condition (in the event of any complaints or physical impairments, the family doctor should be consulted in this regard).
§14 Refund in case of withdrawal of a participant
No refunds are possible after the start of the 2nd day of the course. A refund for missed course days is excluded, unless (in case of illness) a valid certificate is presented at the ski school office. There is no compensation.
§15 Lost or damaged items
The Ruhpolding Ski and Snowboard School is not liable for skis, boots, accessories, clothing, money and personal items that are lost or damaged during lessons or breaks.
§16 Safety
Every ski and every binding must be checked and adjusted by a specialist store before the start of the course. The Ruhpolding Ski and Snowboard School accepts no liability for defects in skis and bindings. Defects can also lead to exclusion from lessons. The ski instructor's advice in this regard is non-binding. The FIS rules of conduct apply when skiing. The instructions of the ski instructor must be followed.
§17 Liability
Each participant must take out his/her own insurance. There is no insurance cover through the Ruhpolding Ski and Snowboard School. The ski school is not liable for accidents of any kind.
§18 Right of withdrawal for ski course bookings (§§ 246 EGBGB, 312g BGB)
If you have booked your ski course using exclusively means of distance communication (e.g. letter, fax, e-mail), you can cancel your contractual declaration in writing (e.g. letter, fax, e-mail) within 14 days without giving reasons. The period begins after receipt of this instruction in text form, but not before conclusion of the contract and also not before fulfillment of our information obligations pursuant to Article 246 § 2 in conjunction with § 1 paragraph 1 and 2 EGBGB and our obligations pursuant to § 312 g paragraph 1 sentence 1 BGB in conjunction with Article 246 § 3 EGBGB. Timely dispatch of the revocation is sufficient to comply with the revocation period.

In the event of an effective revocation, the services received by both parties shall be returned and any benefits derived shall be surrendered. If you are unable to return the goods received in whole or in part, or only in a deteriorated condition, you may be required to compensate us for the loss in value. Obligations to refund payments must be fulfilled within 30 days. The period begins for you with the dispatch of your revocation, for us with its receipt. In the case of a service, your right of revocation shall expire prematurely if we have begun to perform the service with your express consent before the end of the revocation period or if you have arranged for this yourself.
§19 Effectiveness
Should one or more clauses of these Terms and Conditions of Participation and General Terms and Conditions
(GTC) and Cancellation Policy be invalid, this shall have no effect on the remaining conditions. The statutory provisions shall then apply.
